Students submit personal proposals to respond to sustainability concerns. 16 schools and academies, many interpretations of innovation

Over the last few years the theme of sustainability has evolved, from a key theme of fashion communication to a central problem with an urgent need for solutions both in fashion design and in the production of clothing, considered for the rhythms of seasonality and for the alternation of the collections, among the most polluting industries in the world.

It is important that the fashion education system places sustainability as the first goal, because from the new generations and starting immediately the planet’s health is always in the foreground.

How can fashion transform its contribution to the planet and social equity?

There are different approaches and young people entering this industry face each of these issues in a personal way, aware that the issue still relates to extremely complex, rapidly changing models.

On the occasion of Fashion Graduate Italia, 16 schools present their students’ projects, 16 visions that address the complex issue of environmental and social sustainability in different ways. Proposals like seeds to be cultivated, which will necessarily have to become the central core to activate a Responsible Innovation in the new generations of designers and managers that the Fashion Schools in Italy and abroad are forming starting from today.

An awareness promoted by the students themselves, a challenge that we must all accept and that we will continue to promote within the schools of Fashion Training System Platform, with the awareness and the duty to build new generations of professionals able to innovate the Fashion Industry .
