Since 1947 Arsutoria School has been offering highly qualified training paths in designing and making shoes and bags. The only one in Milan equipped with in-house laboratories where students, coming from more than 50 countries around the world, are able to learn and practice design and making techniques through an effective “learning by making” teaching methodology, aimed at giving talented minds and hands of the future the finest and most qualified technical and design skills.
The projects in the exhibit are born from the initiative “Design na Pele” promoted by “Brazilian Leather”, an international program born in partnership between the Center for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and ApexBrasil.
In a first phase, curated by Arsutoria Vision Lab, the project involved some Brazilian tanneries in the development and creation of innovative leathers. In the second part, some designers, selected by Arsutoria School within its international alumni network, used those leathers to design a capsule of bags or shoes.
